My Wishlist

So Ronni sent me an invite to sign up on Kaboodle. I actually did it! I have only added one item so far, but it’s a start. :) EDIT: Okay, so I tried to use their widget code to stick a badge here, and that did not work at all. It generated crazy code. I’ll check it out and try again.

Well the Kaboodle “widget” is crazy, so here’s a link Kaboodle Wish List

6 months old

A couple of weeks ago, the boys turned 6 months old. Time is really going by quick! They are just getting over a cold which they gave to me, and it had me home in bed for 2 days. Chills, fever, sore throat, the works! But I love them anyway. :)
They really are the joys of my life. I never would have imagined that I would have 4 kids, let alone 2 sets of twins! But it is soooo much fun. We are already filling our new house with lots of memories. I am so looking forward to Christmas. :)
As far as milestones, the boys ‘talk’ all the time, especially Kristopher. Jayden is starting to scoot, I see crawling in the near future! YIKES! I know he will have a ton of fun crawling around and exploring everything. I think Kristopher will not be too far behind. He sometimes acts like he wants to just skip crawling and start walking right away.

We had a good Thanksgiving. Lots of family and friends came over to celebrate with us.

I will try to write more often. :)

Knowledge is Power…

So, yes… I do know alot about computers. Yeah, yeah.. nerdy.. whatever.

Anyway, I have quite a bit of knowledge in my head about various things. Over the past 3 weeks or so I’ve had 3 different people ask me for help in setting up a blog, forum, or something similar. So, I decided to make this blog actually useful and start to write up all this stuff that I know. You will see new categories about Wordpress, Integramod, Phpbb, and Gallery. These are all my favorite web tools and things that I use the most on the web. There will be various other tips here and there that I have collected or figured out how to do.

So you’ll notice the first one is nice and simple “Writing your first post in Wordpress”.

Is November over yet?

Wow, this month has had it’s share of bad news. I am still not over the shock of Jen’s young passing. For those that wonder who Jen is and what I am talking about, I may post a bit more details. Basically, she was a wonderful person and mother who lost her life only 3 weeks after giving birth to beautiful twin girls. That should happen to NO ONE. She died because she wanted to be a mother. Wow. That hit really close to home and it is just devastating.

Then this morning, I found out that my aunt’s husband who has been battling cancer for quite a while tried to end his suffering by taking his own life. WOW. He was unsuccessfully and is now in intensive care. She is understandably a wreck.

So, I say again, is November over yet?

Today is hard

RIP Jen. I am so so sorry that your life was cut short too soon, and in such a tragic and unexpected way. RIP

RIP Gerald Levert

3281On Friday, Gerald Levert died. WOW! He was only 40 years old. First Barry White, then Luther Vandross, now Gerald. Wow.

This picture is one that I took myself on June 26, 2005 at a concert here in Chicago. He was soooo good!

Gmail Mobile

I LOVE my gmail. I had an account for about a year before I actually started using it, but now I just love it! And now, it’s gotten even better. I use a Windows smartphone and I just started testing the new mobile client. It’s pretty good. There are a couple of things that they missed, features that I would like, but for the most part, it gets the job done. Visit http://mail.google.com/mail/help/about_whatsnew.html to read more about it. Or, to get right too it, visit gmail.com/app from your phone to install the client.
