Samsung Blackjack (Cingular)

Blackjack - aloneSo begins my review of this cool little phone, errr excuse me smartphone. ;)

Part of my ‘real job’ allows me the chance to play with and review smartphones. Why? Usually because I am testing to make sure that they work with our Oracle Calendar system for wireless syncing via SyncML, or IMAP email and stuff like that. Of course it’s a perk that I get to play with all these cool phones. :) I already mentioned all the ones that I have, and I knew that this one was on the way, but I could not mention it in the previous post because I was keeping a secret from my hubby. LOL. My job bought me one, but I bought him one for Christmas. He usually gets my hand me down phones, or some sucky little phone. This is the first time in quite a while that he gets a super cool new phone all to himself.

Both phone arrived today and I have began playing with them. My first thought when I took them out of the box was “whoa, cool!”. This is a really slick looking phone. it is extremely thin and light and feels good in my hand.

Me holding the phoneThe screen is amazing! It is extremely clear and bright although half the size that I have been used to on the 8125. It is also a tad smaller than the Treo 650, but the looks blow it away.

More coming as I start to use the device.

Poor little Fishy…

Black MoorI have the worst luck with pet fish. We have had several! The latest fish to go was a cute/ugly little Black Moor with bug eyes. He was in the tank with 2 other fancy fish, and they were all doing so well, or so I thought. Before going to bed the other night, I went to feed them and noticed the black fish was completely missing one eye! I suspect that the bigger fish attacked him because he seems aggressive towards the smaller ones.

I think perhaps the little one was sick and may have been too small to be in that particular tank with those larger fish. The nitrate level, etc. might have been too much so he was not well, and the fat fish took advantage of him. Poor fishy. :(

I was not sure what to do, so I read up yesterday, hit the pet store after work and got Melafix and water testing strips. I asked if I should move the sick fish to his own tank, etc. and I was told that the move might be too stressful, so I left him and medicated the whole tank.

Well, he did not make it. I found him floating this morning. :(

I am not sure what I will tell the kids yet. We have already gone through a few different fish (Betta’s).
